The annual Heritage Open Day will take place this month between the 7th & 10th September, showcasing England’s finest & oldest architecture.
Many buildings which are not usually open to the public will welcome visitors over the 4 day event. Why not take part in a guided tour around a 17th Century timber framed Manor House in Hartshorne Swadlincote or take a look at the ancient art of Bell ringing at All Saints Church in Mugginton.
If you’re feeling a little bit more adventurous London is calling! Open House London is running again this year during the weekend of 16th & 17th September. This year City Hall by Foster & Partners and the RIBA National award winning house at Barrett’s Grove by Amin Taha Architects will be open amongst many other private and public buildings. Make sure you check before you travel as a few buildings are limited on numbers and you may have to book in advance.
