We have been working with a local business to assist with obtaining planning & listed building consent on the Former Tramway Offices in Victoria Street.
The property, which is Grade II listed, has been vacant at ground & first floor levels, since the Post Office closed in 2013.
The Post House will create a rustic, industrial bar and restaurant where people have a choice of local, artisan and organic food and drink. The intended use will have 8 independent food & drink Companies serving a centrally located communal dining & bar area, operating through the hours of 10am until 10pm. The opening of such a venture is key to bringing life back into Victoria Street and be a ‘stepping stone’ of activity from the Intu Shopping Centre/St Peters Street, along to Sadler Gate and Wardwick.
The interior will be rustic and industrial exhibiting polished concrete floors, concrete beams, bold lighting and interesting objects. The project is underway and is due to open just in time for the late May Bank Holiday.
