The owners of a converted former farm building in Hulme Walfield approached Planning Design after their application for a first floor extension was refused by Cheshire East Council on neighbouring amenity grounds. We worked closely with the owners to highlight the weaknesses in the council’s decision and put together a comprehensive appeal statement. The Planning Inspector wholeheartedly agreed with the case we made and permission was granted for the scheme in November 2013. The appeal victory means that the family can now extend the property to meet their growing needs and plan for their future in a home they cherish.
